Many of our clients have tried building their SAML solution, based on Open Source SAML Toolkits.  After weeks or months or failed efforts, they have a new-found appreciation for the value that a turnkey SAML solution provides to them.  The value to these clients is clear and compelling – they save significant time, money, and risk by choosing to implement an enterprise product for their SAML 1.1 or SAML 2.0 single sign on (SSO) projects.

One recent client summed it up best:  “We wouldn’t build our own email solution today.  We shouldn’t try to build a SAML solution either.”

A client made a fascinating comment to us recently:

·         “The bad news about Open Source SAML Toolkits is…the Sample Applications look really easy!”

The client’s point was a good one: 

·         The allure of building SAML solutions based on Open Source Toolkits is really tempting.  The cost appears low, and it looks easy at first glance.

·         The reality is that building SAML solutions based on Open Source Toolkits is really hard.

Many of our clients first spend much longer than they plan trying to build their own SAML solution, prior to becoming one of our customers.  From their experience, they grow their conviction for their selection to implement EasyConnect, an Enterprise Single Sign On (SSO) product for SAML 2.0 and SAML 1.1 implementations.
