CERTPOINT Systems
CERTPOINT (formerly Vuepoint) was founded in 1996 in New York by Constantin and Ara Ohanian, father and son, to help large corporations transform business critical knowledge into measurable business results. Since then, the CERTPOINT shareholding has broadened to include institutional investors and venture capitalists such as Wheatley Partners and Hudson Venture Partners as well as the Centre for Excellence in Advanced Research and Training (CERT) in the United Arab Emirates.
The company’s first client was The Hartford Insurance. Over a decade later of successful implementations later, Hartford remains a client, and CERTPOINT’s software platform (CERTPOINTVLS) is now in its 7th generation. It is trusted by organizations such as Toyota, Honda, John Crane, Stanley Black & Decker, Weight Watchers, and Motorola in over 40 countries and is deployed in over 30 languages. Far more than simply a way of pushing out courses, CERTPOINTVLS provides a way for these organizations’ employees to manage their own personal learning and development using both formal and informal learning.
On June 1, 2007 Vuepoint and Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), the largest private training company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) became partners and Vuepoint was renamed CERTPOINT Systems Inc. CERTPOINT’s offices are located in many different parts of the world, including the US, Europe, Africa and Middle East.
